Before becoming pregnant, I thought that the only way my workout counts is if I am in the gym, exercising for an hour and a half until my clothes are drenched in sweat.
Then, I got pregnant and first trimester “morning” sickness completely debilitated me. It took me some time to rethink my definition of exercise and understand that exercising is moving in whatever way I can, whether it be dancing, yoga, speed walking, body weight workouts, all of it counts. All of it makes my body stronger and makes me high of endorphins and serotonin afterwords.
I did this workout in my second trimester, and I don’t know if I will be able to do it again in 3rd trimester because some of the exercises are challenging for a bigger tummy. But, the exercise is completely equipment free.
If you are cleared by your OB and PCP to workout, try it out and let me know how you like it. 🙂
